🍂 This Thanksgiving, I’m focusing on the Gain

With Thanksgiving around the corner here in Canada, I’ve been thinking a lot about growth and how it rarely looks the way we expect it to.

If I’m honest, this year hasn’t unfolded exactly as I planned. Some goals have taken longer, others have shifted completely, and a few ideas had to be paused. And that’s okay! I’m learning that balance doesn’t always mean everything moves at the same pace – sometimes, one area needs more of your focus so another can grow later.

I’m currently reading The Gap and The Gain by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy, and it’s completely shifted my perspective. The book talks about measuring progress not by the distance to your final goal (the Gap), but by how far you’ve already come (the Gain).

When I reflect on the past few years, I see a woman who’s stretched herself, who’s tried, pivoted, learned, and kept showing up – even when things felt hard or uncertain. That, to me, is REAL success.

Maybe you’re in a season like that too, where things feel slower, or unclear. If so, give yourself some grace. Every chapter matters, even the quiet ones.

Because the truth is, balance isn’t about doing it all at once. It’s about knowing which part of your life needs your energy right now, and trusting that the other pieces will follow.

So this Thanksgiving, I’m choosing gratitude for the Gain:
 ✨ The lessons learned
 ✨ The pivots made
✨ The resilience and courage it takes to keep reaching for more, even when the path looks different from what was expected.

👉 I’d love to hear from you: what book or idea has made the biggest impact on your mindset so far in 2025? Hit reply and share it with me! I’m always on the lookout for great reads and inspiration. 📚

With gratitude,
~ Elizabeth
