Back from Florida & Stepping into 2026

Happy New Year! ✨

How is 2026 treating you so far?

I just  recently returned from a month-long stay in Florida,  and I’m already back to snow, freezing temperatures, and winter boots. ❄️ Moments like this remind me why building the flexibility to live and work in different places has always mattered so much to me.

My time away in the Sunshine State was just what I needed for my mind, body and soul.
I closed out 2025 with relaxation and holiday time with family 🏝️, sailed into the new year on a Caribbean cruise 🚢, and wrapped things up back in Florida with business meetings, growth conversations, and aligned partnerships. 🙌

And as per usual, I was able to mix business with pleasure 🙂

Even while traveling, I was still able to:

✅ List and conditionally sell my 5-plex back in Canada (all within the final two weeks of 2025) 🏘️
✅ Solve several tenant issues that (of course 🤦🏻‍♀️) decided to pop up across multiple properties 🥴
✅ Mastermind with other business owners and partners throughout Florida 🤝
✅ Make the decision to walk away from a Florida business acquisition in Naples that we were preparing to take through due diligence 📊

That last one was an important reminder that progress isn’t just about moving forward; sometimes it’s about having the clarity and confidence to step back.

This kind of flexibility also didn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of building systems, having the right team in place, and designing business intentionally. This has always been the vision for me: Building a life where business and lifestyle don’t compete  – they blend.

With a laptop, a phone, a solid internet connection, and people you trust, business doesn’t have to be tied to one location. It can happen from the beach, from a ship at sea, or from anywhere your life takes you. 🌎

As we step into 2026, I’m feeling grateful, clear, and excited for what’s ahead. This past season was a reminder that flexibility, alignment, and intention don’t happen by accident – they’re built over time, one decision at a time.

Here’s to a year of thoughtful growth, aligned opportunities, and creating more freedom on our own terms.
